Wasteman has a proud 30 year pedigree of providing waste service solutions to South Africa’s communities and leading companies across a host on industry.
Our remarkable achievements are due largely to the loyalty of our cusotner partners and the absolute dedication and contribution of all our employees who have demonstrated a longstanding commitment to the communities they serve.
From humble beginnings in Cape Town where we operated out of a single truck, Wasteman has evolved into a large, sophisticated and innovative total waste management solutions company with operations across South Africa.
Major milestones achieved by Wasteman include:

1998
Established operations in Kwa Zulu Natal through the purchase of a number of KZN based companies including Waste Services and Hydrochem. These companies currently function as Wasteman KZN and Wasteman Automotive, which renders service on a national basis.

1998
Established operations in Gauteng through the purchase of a number of Gauteng based companies including L&S Cleaning Services and Automotive Applications. These companies were merged into a consolidated business currently functioning as Wasteman Gauteng.

2001
Established operations in Centurion through the purchase of Sightlines, a specialised pipe survey and cleaning business.

2002
Established the Specialised Cleaning Division through the acquisition of a number of Mpumalanga based specialised cleaning companies including Vektor Services and JCM and merging them into a consolidated business with a national footprint operating from their base in Secunda.

2003
Expanded the Western Cape operation by the acquisition of Waste Care and merging it with the already established Wasteman Western Cape.

2009
First dry material recovery facility opened in Cape Town.

2010
Established the Emergency Spill Response division.
